I've wanted to take the girls to pick strawberries for awhile now.... We finally went! We had a ball and the girls LOVED it! I think its important that they see how foods we eat are grown and made. I think they found the strawberry plants fascinating. What kids doesn't love dirt! Strawberry picking is dir-ty! Ava went along picking strawberries and eating them... Then she moved on to eating clumps of dirt... Yum! I will never understand the mind of a toddler! We bought 4 1/2 lbs of fresh strawberries for $5.30. They are DELICIOUS!
